WinterMarkt provides a combination of virtual and in person vendors for flexibility and enjoyment of our community. WinterMarkt is a market where you will find handcrafted wares, German goods, holiday decorations, European delicacies, artwork and other indulgences. Through this website and our social media outlets we will feature special promotions from vendors and showcase their products. Vendors will be added to the site as they are on-boarded (so please check back frequently), providing you with more time to shop before the holiday rush. For more information about costs and logistics, download a copy of our 2024 Vendor Package. Obsessive Constructive DesignsObsessive Constructive Designs will be back at the Herndon WinterMarkt this year offering handcrafted cutting boards and serving boards. Stacie will have a beautiful selection of cutting boards, wood and epoxy charcuterie boards, ornaments, and unique gifts that will make the perfect additions to your holiday celebrations. Come by to choose a perfect piece of functional art for your home or for a special gift.
Second Season MittensSecond Season Mittens has been handcrafting mittens from recycled wool sweaters for the past sixteen years. Our mittens are unique with each one having a cozy fleece lining which means the mittens can be machine washed and dried without shrinking. We hear many comments about how these are the “warmest mittens I have ever worn.” We have spent years refining our technique and patterns to make the perfect pairs for you, your friends, and family members. We have also added cashmere and merino wool fingerless mittens for both women and men.
Little AustriaLittle Austria is Northern Virginia’s go-to place for handmade, traditional & authentic STRUDEL. Helene and Berni who started Little Austria in 2017, are staying true to the old-fashioned, traditional techniques of stretching the dough by hand until so thin that one can read a newspaper through it. Little Austria’s strudels are made with locally-sourced ingredients, and are completely free of preservatives and artificial extras. …and they taste fabulous!! Weird Brothers CoffeeWe are a disabled-veteran owned, community-based, and family-run, small batch coffee roaster. The Weird Brothers and Strange Sisters team is dedicated to coffee and espresso that stands apart from everything else. Our coffee is craft roasted with care and is brewed to deliver an experience that will help you fall in love with coffee all over again. Great Harvest Bread CompanyWe make our bread from scratch using simple ingredients. In fact, we mill our own flour on-site. This means we can control every single thing that goes into our bread. Our wheat is 100% wheat — no additives. And we start with the same basic ingredients in our whole grain breads: Freshly milled flour, water, honey, yeast and salt.

The Closet Thrift ShopThe Closet Thrift Shop in historic downtown Herndon is a non-profit operated by The Closet of the Greater Herndon Area, Inc., an interdenominational organization established in 1974. All its merchandise is donated locally and priced for sale. Clothing, household goods, toys, collectibles, and sporting equipment are just some of the items you will find. Each quarter, The Closet distributes profits to charitable organizations and high school scholarships in the Greater Herndon Area. What The SchnitzelWhat The Schnitzel started as a home catering business back in 2017 known as Coburger Bistro, which served authentic German cuisine and much more. Founder Melanie Glover, orginally from Germany, has a passion for cooking. She re-branded to What The Schnitzel (WTS) in 2023, with the goal of connecting with more people through her cooking. The concept of WTS is to combine her authentic German style of cooking with flavors from around the world. What The Schnitzel is the product of one women’s love for food, her home, and the people she shares it with.
